I just started using the HSMadvisor and it is really impressive! I am trying to figure out how to correctly estimate the max cutting force of my machine. All I know is that it has 1.1kw servos on the X and Y axis but I dont know how that translates into force. Can anyone help me?

The purpose of "Max Cutting Force" is to limit the cutting load on machines with overpowered spindles, such as many routers. It is primarily useful for less rigid machines. Typically, users calculate the force generated by their heaviest cut and set the max force accordingly to ensure they never exceed that limit.
Since you have 1kW servos, I assume it's a real VMC, so you should leave that value at 0.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. Yes, it is a real VMC (my first) so I am trying to make sure I am starting off with good cutting parameters. I am moving from a DIY CNC router that I have been milling aluminum on.
