Face mill resetting WOC
I am trying to get the speed and feed for a face mill that I have saved as an Indexable Face Mill. The tool is 3" and I want to use a 2.4" WOC, but whenever I change the WOC, the Chipload changes to default, if I then change the Chipload to any number the WOC changes back to 2.996".
It seems to be impossible to have a .02" DOC, 2.4" WOC and be able to simply set the Chipload, if I change the tool to a solid carbide endmill I have no issues.
Wait, I was just messing around with it. If I set the Chipload to .008" the WOC resets, but if I go set the WOC back to 2.4" the Chipload doesn't quite reset, but it does go up a bit to .00998". This is still annoying because it means I have to set some arbitrarily lower Chipload in order to get the actual Chipload that I want when the WOC forces it to recalculate.
All this just to try to save a cut that I liked.
Is there a reason that I am not aware of for why this sort of tool behaves this way?

Darn! I fudged the Chipload until I got the number I wanted, but when I load the cut that I saved it defaults the WOC back to 2.996" again!

Hi,
Can you attach a screenshot of how you set up your tool?
Also the machine profile.
It might be limiting things for you because it thinks you don't have the torque.
Best regards.
