Help with WOC best value to use
Hello, I buy HSMAdvisor some time ago, and i always used WOC with pocket/slot checked, most of my cuts are plain cuts, pockets, profiles and 3d finish passes. It always worked but i fell i'm not using it right... Even on a pocket toolpath a stepover of 40% is a WOC of 40% de tool diameter, expect on the first line where tool engages at 100% with the stock. My question is: shoud i use the stepover value there instead of pocket option (full bit diameter)? Working most with wood and some aluminium. Also most of my cuts calculations exceeded the max axis speed of 2000mm/m the hsmadvisor limits to the 2000 correctly, but spindle RPMs are still the same even if calculated speed is 3000 or 5000 mm/m. Should i ajust RPMs to match the 2000mm/m or leave it like calculated?

Hello, For regular pocketing paths you should still use the 100% WOC. You might be able to get away with using profiling feed. Or might not. HSMAdvisor just suggests what it thinks is optimal for the given conditions. You might be able to get away with it in Wood, but in aluminum it will cause issues. For the second part of the question: It seems to be a bug. RPM should also re-calulate when reedrate is limited by machine spec. I will fix the issue in the next update. Thank you for bringing it to my attention! Best regards.
