WOC and DOC

Hi Eldar, My tool catalogue often mentions max WOC and DOC. max WOC like 0.1 diam and max DOC like 1.5 diam. I see no possibility to enter this in HSMAdvisor. Am I wrong? Serge

Hi, You can use the Performance Slider to adjust the recommend Engagement value. Performance setting is also saved with the tool record. There is no separate "max" WOC or DOC setting. Regards.

That explains why the default I set to 70% didn't seem to work. I think saving it with the tool isn't correct, this setting is about a cut not a tool. Maybe you implemented this upon demand. In that case make it configurable please. Serge

Hi, Please make sure you are running the latest version. I have made a lot of changes in yesterday's release. Defaults are only applied when you change the tool type (or click Reset) and only when no tool/cut is loaded. Speed and Feed Adjustments and Limits are saved both in the Tool and the Cut separately. The CUT is taking the precedence. So It will overwrite whatever is set in the tool. This is the intended functionality. Best regards.

Could you implement it? If not, can you show the tool comment in the tool data view? And again… I don't agree you store values from the 'Cut Data' view to the tool. It is confusing. Installed the new version… some typos not corrected yet. Serge
