Need to be able to adjust the SFPM
Hi Eldar, I like your software. One thing Id like to see would be, for the software to have the ability to be able to edit any one of the Materials. When editing the Materials, Id like the ability to increase or Decrease any SFPMS or Feeds or Both at the Same time. A percentage etc. For example If I were able to Edit the P20 Material, Id like to increase the SFPM by 10% or 20% and then save that as a New Material. That way I wouldn't overwrite your Default Material settings etc. This way I could Create a P20 Material with a BRINELL of 250 or Create one with a Brinell of 350 Etc. Thanks Glenn

Hello, I know this is not what you were asking for. But You can create custom tool famililies and specify SFM and chipload for them. Please check out this article: http://zero-divide.net/?shell_id=151&article_id=4592_manufacturer-recommended-speeds-and-feeds-in-hsmadvisor I am preparing a big update to this functionality that will make it easier to use. As to custom materials. I really can not allow users to create their own materials for many good reasons. One of them being that users, instead of asking for new materials will just create their new ones and I will be excluded from a very important feedback loop. And what happens when I release the same material that someone has added and they are different? There is a method in how I create and add materials and I can not trust somebody else to do the same. Over time I believe this will lead to breakdown on many different levels. The next best thing is I can (in the pipleline) create a hardness slider that will adjust harness withing a range and apply the same internal logic to results. I WILL look at ways of developing something that will solve your needs. Perhaps something like the Translator cloud solution will work. Where you would request a material and supply your suggested data and I will review it and add it into the loop. Again, I believe the currently supported tool libraries with custom chiploads and speeds as the better way forward. Dispute the fact that I am kind of shooting down your idea, believe me, your suggestion is very valuable to me. Things like this often lead to major breakthroughs and developments. Best regards.

Thanks for your time I understand

Yes Eldar, Having the ability to change the Hardness using a slider would be nice for all your materials. Then I will assume that when you adjust the Hardness Slider that the SFPMs will automatically adjust accordingly. This will take care of what I am asking for. other then this, we are stuck with what you are setting for the hardness on any one material. Thanks Glenn
