6063-t5 aluminum data
Could you add 6063-t5 aluminum to the specs list? I would really appreciate it! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/6063_aluminium_alloy I have a bunch that I obtained from Orange Aluminum http://www.orangealuminum.com/bar-stock/angles.html and I am going to use it to test the torque and HP of my Porter Cable 7518 router motor at various speeds. I just obtained 30 2 flute, 1/8 ball end mills for the purpose so I am not scared to break a few. http://www.ebay.com/itm/140444566442?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I will have to test them, but they appear to be much better made than I was suspecting they would be. For ~$1.30 each though, I consider it a license to test the limits. I am going to proceed as if I am cutting 6061-T6 since you have it listed, but to accurately gauge the ideal feed rates in general, I will need the best data I can get. I tried to figure out a simple pattern to test a range of materials, including wood with it's potentially difficult grain. So I wanted angular cuts with grain, across grain and at angles. This gave me an 8 pointed star as an ideal point and line test. I also wanted smooth transition through the angles, so I put a circle in the center. I had to laugh, the end result of the test will be a bunch of small Ninja Stars. (Shuriken) Attached is the G code for the test. Thanks, Bob

Thank you! I should be able to work out several details of my machines data from that! This weekend will be busy. Bob
