Cusp height calculator? [added]

Just wondering if there was any progress on adding a cusp height calculator for surface milling to the program? I know we discussed it at one time, So I was just wondering if you were considering it. I think it would be a great addition to HSMAdvisor.

Hello, I have just added a cusp calculator. For now it is only available for ballnose endmills. Also ballnose endmill tool type now assumes flat floor endmilling if WOC is specified as "Slotting" If your WOC does not equal the diameter of the tip, it is considered side milling. Check for it in the downloads section! Should you have any feedback or questions please let me know. Bye!

Had an idea that's right up the same alley as the cusp height calculator. Perhaps an Ra/finish calculator for turning operations would be a good addition. Either as an actual calculator using the existing 'scallop' button that is available (but currently just displays the 'only available for ball-nose' message) or by simply displaying it in the 'cutting data' window. On one hand, it would be nice to have a fillable field to enter a desired finish and have the feed calculated, but just having it displayed based on the current cut parameters would allow a quick feed-rate slider override to find the target finish.

Thanks. I am actuallyually planning to add a whole mini-calc that would deal with surface finish for both lathe and mill tools. Maybe I will incorporate ballnose scallop calc in there too, as it does partially the same thing. Don't know when I get to do it. Maybe this month.
