[in progress] Threads Page

Hi Zero I had questioned in the Tormach Forum at the CNCZone if the threads table could be edited for not so standard threads. I think this would be a handy addition. My Cad Program ( Solid Edge) stores all this info in a txt. file called "Holes" And can easily be edited by the user if they have the correct data. I will attach the txt. file for you to look at and see if something like this is possible. I tend to use a lot of odd threads. I realize that what you have supplied covers most of what people do and it is great. This is not a criticism just a question/suggestion. It is looking real good ! Scott I cannot seem to attach a .txt file or .zip file If you would like I can send you detailed Data files for straight and pipe threads

Try attaching txt or zip file again. Or if it does not work you may send your files to cnc (ат) zero-divide.net I will see if I can use that data. Last time I had to use numbers from MH

Okay finally i fixed that upload thing! .... .... .... Just went through the contents of your attachments. Do you want to kill me? That's a lot of info. And i think it will be helpful. Unfortunately it is missing quite a few things, that i will have to get from MH For comprising data that my program requires:

Quote:
<size>1/4-20</size> <form>UNC</form> <class>2A</class> <pitch>20</pitch> <major_dia>0.25</major_dia> <major_dia_max>0.2489</major_dia_max> <major_dia_min>0.2408</major_dia_min> <pitch_dia>0.2175</pitch_dia> <pitch_dia_max>0.2164</pitch_dia_max> <pitch_dia_min>0.2127</pitch_dia_min> <minor_dia_max>0.1876</minor_dia_max> <wire_size>0.029</wire_size>
and what is in the file you supplied:
Quote:
0.25 ; 0.1959 ; 0.1887 ; 1/4-20 UNC ; UNC
Thanks anyway. I will get started adding bigger sizes to ISO/UNC and adding UNEF threads for now

Wasn't sure if it would be helpful. But it is in a standard delimited format. That I thought may be useful. Thanks again for all your hard work. Scott Ps. Sorry about the length of the list :) I just sent the entire list. Don't need all of them. But more pitch choices for metric would be nice.

Hey, I have added more threads into the list. It now has UNEF and UNS thread sizes. The work to add more forms and sizes will be in progress, so am not closing this ticket and keeping it as a reminder ;) Bye.
