Corner Rounding End Mill FSwizard and HSMA

Hello All, I have a question about the best way to put in a corner rounding end mill for FSwizard and HSMA to get speeds and feeds. I have a generic 1" dia carbide 4F 1/4" radius, with a 1/2" pilot or tip radius. I am planning on putting it in as chamfer end mill with 1/2" tip 90 degree included angle and .250 flute length and 1" shank. Is this the best way to approximate the end mill? Do you have better ways to enter the end mill? Thanks, Ryan

Hello, Yes, a corner radius end mill can be approximated by the chamfer end mill like that. Just make sure to slow (both speed and feed) down by an additional 25% because the length of the cutting edge is larger and there is more force acting upon the tool. Best regards.

Okay thanks for the confirmation and the suggestion to slow the feed and speed down by 25%. We will be cutting with that old, but new to us end mill today. Ryan
