Few questions

Hi, first of all thanks for developing this program, it's great. I've got few questions: 1.) can you add 1.0562 - S355J2 material to your database? It's what we mostly do. 2.) How do you look for rpm and feed for counterboring the hole plunging with an end mill? What depth of cut DOC and WOC do you enter ? is there any difference regarding existing pilot hole? 3.) I love your chamfering tool calculations, it matches how it's defined in fusion360 perfectly. However shouldn't there be a mini-calc similar to circle/ramp as you should reduce your feedrate while chamfering a hole, (or you could increase your feedrate while chamfering a boss). Thanks and keep the good work.

Regarding the material, I found out it has the hardness of 220 HB which corresponds nicely to something called "ASTM A516-70 Pressure Vessel Steel" in HSM-Advisor which I presume will be something which I should use instead?

Hi, 1) I will look into adding that material. For now you can use the ASTM A516-70 Pressure Vessel Steel. It seems form the same group and same hardness. 2) Just use the counterbore tool type. 3) Hmm. I didn't think about it! I am going to add it in the next update because it's a quick fix. Tank you! Best reagrds.

Is there any chance that you can also add Hardox steels Group ? Rest of SSAB steel are already there.

I don't have comparison to other cam but fusion 360 is decent cam when it goes to milling. Turning is a bit weaker but is getting some improvements with each update. There is a lot of oportunities în cam but some of them reqiures editing post processor, which is written as simple javascript script. If you can do very basic programming you will be fine. There is also little support for using subprograms or turning cycles so you can have trouble if you own old machine wth limited memory. Its possible but reqire heavy postprocessor editing ussually. Modeling and milling cam are very good, while drawing and turning cam are still developing. I find Fusion360 very good software for the price they ask for it. Also the comunity on fusion360 forum is very active and helpfull.

Hi Hemant, Thank you for the purchase. On the bottom of the window there is Input and Results in/mm labels. Click on Results in label to toggle all results to metric display. Additionally every field on the Speeds and Feeds page can be changed to display the units you want by clicking its in/mm label. Best regards.
