New feature request

Greetings from Pennsylvania USA Eldar,

Hope all is well. I have another kinda weird request for you that I figured couldn't hurt to ask about.

Any chance you could add a "Surface Grinding Wheel" to tooltypes? I rarely run the grinder (hate the dang thing) so my knowledge of even the basics is fairly low. I think this could be a fairly unique feature for you to put in your software (altho fairly easy to duplicate I'd assume.)

If not I can continue muddling through as I have for years, it just struck me today as I was switching to a different wheel it'd be cool to have it calculated based on the material on a computer....

Thanks again,
Jake

Hello Jake,

I am going to see if there is any info on this topic.
But I doubt so. Most of the grinders I know of do not have any precise feed controls. And the speed is controlled only by the size of the wheel.

So I do not see what is there to calculate, honestly.

Best regards.

I was thinking of wheel hardness/grit in reference to a particular material since the library of materials in HSMA is quite extensive. No feed/speed calculation at all. Perhaps it would be a page on the "Reference" tab.

As I have thought about this more I have realized it would be a bit more difficult than I first thought...you have many variables when grinding that aren't involved with machining...

Still an interesting thought, but yeah, I do understand if its not something within the scope of HSMA. Thanks for the speedy response :)
