Work Flow using HSM Advisor
I am new to HSM Advisor (have been using GWizard). I am confused about work flow within HASM Advisor.
For example, I want to create a tool library. I would think I would go to tool database and then add tools there, one at a time. But this does not seem to be the case. Can you explain the steps? I looked online in help and on the visdeo, but there doesnt seem to be an answer. It seems like the assumpton is that it should be obvious. It is not obvious to me.
Also, I use aluminum mostly, and from what I can see, I need to scroll endlessly every time I want to calculate a speed/feed. Is there a simpler (faster) way to select material? Or do I have to scroll past 100 materials to get to aluminum every time?

Hello,
In HSMAdvisor, you add tools from the speeds and feeds page. Here is a detailed description of how it works:
https://hsmadvisor.com/?page=help&article_id=4804_adding-new-tools-to-the-database.
See screenshot 1. If you want to create a new tool based on the currently loaded one, click the "Edit New" button.
HSMAdvisor shows the recently used materials at the top of the Material list.
Best regards!

Also it always renember the last used material and tool. No need to select every time if you use always the same
