Sorry, not clear yet... Tool number? A unique identifier of the tool in the whole database? Tool Length OFFSET number? Which offset?

A gcode program usually has a tool number used like T1 M6; That's this tool number. Length and Diameter Offset numbers are also used in Gcode. There are not unique. But are handy to sort the tools in the same order as they appear in your machine tool ladder. By themselves, these values don't change anything and are used mostly for interoperability with the Mastercam plugin.
