To low Feed

Hi Fswizard, great software.... But. I have a rule of thumb, newer go lower than fn 0.05mm feed for a fhm end mill. When I calc matr. a36 44w (St 52-3) Fhm ΓΈ16mm cutter tiAIN z=4 Doc 18mm woc 12mm Result is speed 175 m/min that's pretty good. .But then it's say fz 0.037mm That's mutch to low p.t. We are running with 0.09mm. The supplyer calc. Toolscout say 0.075mm What is going on? Thank you Morten Lerager

Hello, It looks like you are running a so-called High Performance end mill. It differs from Generic End Mills in that it is material specific (for example steel only) and can be used for heavy roughing operations. So in such case simply pick the HP/Roughing End Mill tool type (see screenshot). You can see that the suggested feed is almost for that tool type 0.09mm which is miraculously close to your go-to parameter ;)
