Suggestion
Would like to see the material list start off unpopulated with the user given the ability to select/add any materials they use from a material library. Thanks Ken

Ken, I do not think this is a good idea. People will open it up, see no materials there and never bother to look for "Add" button Also when updates to material database are made, users will not get new materials, because they would have to manually add them to the list..... Tell me what you would like to see and why, and maybe there is another way to accomplish similar results.

Eldar, Everything else has to be manually input or selected. Irregardless of how material updates are made it still has to be manually selected as needed. I realize your time has to be spent wisely that is why it is only a suggestion thrown out for your thoughts on it and not something that needs to be done like a bug or glitch. I could list 12 materials and cover every thing I have ever machined or likely will, bet I'm not alone on that, be nice to see a list of 12 familiar materials to select from and the others to add to the list as required. Really like the new look. Thanks Ken

Eladr, Just this morning noticed the "Recent Materials" selection at the very top of the list, that does exactly what the suggestion would do, in a different way mind you but same result. Ken

:) the 'recent materials' works well (which I think was even my suggestion) but has a slightly annoying quirk.. when you select a material from the 'recent materials', the current selection becomes the instance of that material in the main list, rather than remaining at the top. This means you have to scroll up to the 'recent materials' list, even though you last selected a material from the top. Just slightly annoying, but I figured while we're on the topic.. :)

Yeah at some point I had it working the other way. But then I switched it to the way it works now...... Do not remember the reason for it. Possibly because it did not work very well.
