Drilling - Cutting Force is Broken

When performing any drilling operation the cutting force does not update. It appears that the last valid cutting force calulation from a milling tool is saved, as no amount of changes to the drills size, sfm or feed rate change the cutting force.

I would like to know what my Z axis cut force is, as I use a 4th axis and if the drilling forces are able to overcome the braking torque of the 4th I'll end up with a very very expensive mistake very quickly.



You can duplicate this by choosing Solid Endmill in the Tool Type, then choosing Jobber Twist Drill, the Cutting Force does not change.

Hello,

The cutting force gauge was supposed to be hidden for drilling operations. That feature just isn't available for drilling yet.

But the update I am currently working on should add full support for drilling cutting force.
