max. depth of cut for small diameters
I can adjust DOC and WOC in a certain range, but using very small tool diameters e.g. 0.5mm with 4mm length (12mm stickout due to the conical shape) in C18200 the numbers are incredibly small. E.g. a DOC of 0.5mm leads to 2% WOC, a DOC of just 0.1mm only to a WOC of 10%. I haven't practiced it yet, but it seems to be too pessimistic?
If I enable the slotting checkbox, the DOC field remains editable and I would assume that the F&S changes according to the DOC, but it seems to reduce to a certain fixed amount and doesn't react on changes. Apparently this happens when the tool is considered overloaded. I think that it should issue a warning about tool overload or set the feed to 0 as an indicator instead of some random low number?
My material should be rather C18000, not C18200. Any chance to get parameters for that? I think it is even harder than C18200 and the DOC would drop to zero, so maybe (I hope) there is an error for small diameter calculations?

Reported items logged in a new tracking issue: swindex/HSMAdvisor#141. It covers three points from your post: (1) DOC/WOC results appearing overly pessimistic for very small tool diameters (0.5 mm tool in C18200/C18000), (2) the slotting checkbox leaving DOC editable while F&S stops reacting to DOC changes when the tool is flagged as overloaded — a tool-overload warning and/or zeroing the feed is under consideration there, and (3) the request for C18000 material parameters. The issue is open; updates will be posted in this thread as progress is made. The requested screenshot would still help with point (1) — please attach it here if you can.

I tried to make a few screenshots and exported an URL..I guess that is the best way to reconstruct the settings?
From DOC=0.5mm to 0.02mm the feed doesn't change at all and doesn't indicate that this setting is apparently considered invalid. For 0.01mm and smaller it calculates other feeds.
I didn't test if that's the reason, but the stickout is 12mm due to a long conical change to the 1/8" shaft, while the actual 0.5mm flute is only 4mm long.
