New user help with entering values
Hi,
I'm new to FSWizard and machining so please be patient if this is a stupid question.
I'm using an ISCAR F45ST-D3.0-1.00 facemill with SEKT43-AF-R inserts.
Hopefully I've uploaded both the cutter and insert geometry.
Since the insert has a 0.252" flat (BS), is it a 90 deg lead angle or 45?
Also, the cutter seems to have a rake angle relative to the spindle (vertical). Do I need to account for this?
What should I enter for corner radius, flute length, helix angle and lead angle?
Thanks!!

Hi,
Sorry, i didn't have time to reply earlier,
It is a 45deg Lead Angle
The Helix Angle field should handle that angle. But if you don't know the exact value, it is OK to leave that one default.
In your case, the Corner Angle will be 0, Flute Length = APMX, Helixa Angle - the rake angle (if you can measure it) Lead Angle = 45deg
Please let me know if this answers your questions.
Also please check this help article for HSMAdvisor. It is for the desktop app, but the naming convention is exactly the same:
