Generic materials
Hello, Can you add the generic ISO materials (P11, P12, ...) to the material database and put them at the top of the list? Thanks, Serge

I know what you mean. But I am afraid I can not implement it right now. The material list already contains all these materials and more, but because I was using a different grouping method, some if the existing groups do not match your proposed improvement. It would be too dangerous to reorganize all the groups at this point. Besides there is more than one grouping standard available. I can not implement the one most of my market base does not use?

I'd you are missing any particular materials, link them in the catalogue and I will add them.
serge.nelissen
No need to reorganize the list, just add a new group, for instance 0) and populate it with the ISO materials.

I see what you mean. I will need to think how to add it. Will not be fast. Regards.

Or even without a new group, just add these as normal materials. Like 'ISO P11 unalloyed and alloyed steel < 600 N/mm2', 'ISO M21 Stainless steel < 850 N/mm2', ...

These are NOT normal materials, though. They are material groups that can encompass dozens of, various actual materials and grades. You may as well just pick up a group from the existing list with the same description. For example your P11 matches the existing "High Carbon and Alloy Steels"

I give up :-)
