Crucible (CPM 10V) vs Uddeholm (Vanadis 10 SuperClean)
We machine CPM-10V and CPM-15v at our shop.
I am wondering if selecting Uddehlm Vanadis 10 SuperClean is an equivalent material to CPM-10V for calculating cutting parameters?
As far as CPM-15v I would think is a different animal.
If there is something equivalent that is already on the list could you give a recommendation?
If not could you add these materials in the future?
Here is a link comparing cpm10v and vanadis 10 superclean

Hi,
With quick search it seems CPM v10 is very much like D2. So i would suggest using either D2 or H13 tool steels.
Vanadis 10 is a harder powder metal.
I need to do some reasearch where exactly they fit and add them to the list in the next update.
Thank you!

UPDATE:
I AM FINDING THAT CPM-10V'S CUTTING PARAMETERS ARE ABOUT 55% OF D2.
MUCH MORE WEAR RESISTANT THAN I HAD EXPECTED...

CURRENTLY USING 30-35 SFPM DRILLING WITH COBALT PARABOLIC TIN COATED DRILLS.
