BobCad/Cam Capture Only - Update Fails
I set up my tooling and manually enter WOC, DOC etc. in FS Wizard, on clicking "Capture" the "Capture/Update" window pops up but regardless of whether I want to update or capture all the feed & speed data has already been picked up from BobCad/Cam (V25 build 996) so I have no option but to manually copy across the data from FS Wizard, where the correct numbers are still sitting where I left them! I updated to the latest HSM Advisor release but the problem persists, I'm about to print a notepad to ease this process ;-) - Nick

Trying to update twice in a row attempts to transfer the data but there's something amiss as BCC reverts to the numbers that were there prior to update attempt. - Nick

Well the data you see on Capture Wizard form is simply the fields that HSMAdvisor sees on BCC tool data form. Regardless of numbers you see there it should update just fine. Please check that you use manually entered speed and feed data. (speed and feed fields are not grayed out) when you attempt update. I will check it tonight. Cheers

It appears that there are calculations at work in BCC back and forth between entered fields - enter one and it changes another and if all the fields are instantly populated BobCad spits the dummy. I'm working in Metric and it's impossible to get the same set of numbers generated in HSMA into BCC as the internal calculations do not agree and BCC will change something to agree with it's own calcs. BCC uses SMM (Surface Meters per Minute), not mm per Minute, possibly this is part of the issue?

Okay I now see what you are doing Maybe the order in which fields are being populated needs to change. I will notify you by email as soon as I get something done about it.

Nick, I have just looked into the problem. Apparently BOBCAd does not allow any input field on its form to be updated from an outside program. Sorry about that, but only capture is possible. If remembering resulting speed and feed is too much of a hassle for you, Turn off title grouping on windows taskbar to always see RPM and Feed result for your calculations. I will further look into the matter to see how i can make your life easier, but for now it is impossible.
