More possible materials?
Zero divide, Could you please add Graphite materials as well as S7 tool steel. As a mold maker I use graphite for EDM electrodes and a lot of S7 for cores and cavities. Thank you, Keep up the good work on this program!!

Hello, I will add S7 into the next update. S7 is a free macgining tool steel and i believe it would machine exactly like O1 Regarding graphite..... I have no experience with it. Going to have to rely on outside data. What are the cutting parameters that you are using? Do you use diamond tipped endmills? If so what kind of speed and feed you are running it at? Do you use coolant? I will find this info anyway, but you could help a great deal if you answered those questions.

Zero Divide, you are correct about the S7 pre heat treat. Would it be possible to do a hardened S7 also with a Rockwell range like the h13 that is listed. Just a visual thing for the shop as far as functionality. Graphite is a very soft material but very abrasive to the tool we run it dry no coolant with diamond tooling when possible. We have a Makino E33 mill with a 40,000 rpm spindle and a dust collection system. A large diameter mill for that machine is 3/8 or 10mm so we run anywhere from 200 to 1200 depending on the tool. Your best be would be to look at the recommended speeds and feeds from a manufacturer like sp3 diamond cutting tools. We don't always use diamond tools though, so we use TIALN coated carbide cutters to save a little money. and run about 50 to 75 percent of the diamond speeds Thanks for the help

I tried to post a link to the SP3 website machining guide but this site won't allow it.

Thanks for the info on graphyte. It will surely help me alot. Sorry about the links not being alowed. I got tired of spammers trying to post links to blue pill and cheap watches sites :( If you neet to post a link, remove the "http:" part. If my site sees it it block everything.

Similarly, while I welcome any and all additional materials added to the database, would it be possible to filter some out? 98% of the time I machine the same 3 materials, and each time materials are added it takes more time to find the ones I actually use :) Thanks again, love the calc.

2714 Steel (I use this a fair bit and it's pretty tough) The other assorted hardnesses of Hardox Toolox, Weldox, and Armox in their assorted hardnesses I had to make some parts from Toolox 44 a couple months ago and it was a bitch. Snapped a bunch of solid carbide drills off in it.

Will do. Thanks.

Just an update here. I have added all the requested materials here. Please download attached file and copy it to where your HSMAdvisor.exe file is installed. This very file will be available a little later when another update is ready. I did not want you guys to wait for too long. Again if you have any feedback please share it with me. i am listening closely. Edit: as of dec 31, new materials are available with the installation package. This download has been removed to avoid confusion.
