Tonight I released the latest version of HSMAdvisor and the plugin for Mastercam 2022, 2021 and 2020
Most of the issues reported by our users have either been fixed or otherwise addressed.
It has bug fixes and an improved tool creation routine.
Additionally, the Tool Path Write dialog now has an option to disable the toolpath regeneration and the actual values that will be written in the toolpath:
The Save button saves the current state of checkboxes as default.

The HSMAdvisor hook for MasterCAM has been updated!
Updated HSMAdvisor Hook to the latest improvements of HSMAdvisor standalone app:
Tapered End Mill Display: The work-piece material boundary now matches the angle of the cutter.
Shoulder Diameter: Default shoulder diameter is now equal to either the diameter of the Shank or top of Fluted portion, depending on the tool configuration.

Hello everybody!!
Hope each one of you had a lot of fun during the holidays! I have just uploaded HSMAdvisor version 1.521 but because of huge amount of changes, i will not release it to the wild right away.
There is a week or so of testing in it as I see it. Any one of you could help me out a bunch by downloading and trying the updates.

I have just uploaded the HSMAdvisor hook for MasterCAM 2018.
That calls for a drink!
The C++/CRL interop that runs on the back end has been developed over 2 years ago and i have not opened it much since. Because there were some breaking changes in 2018, i had to reopen the can of worms and ... whew! That was not eazy to remember all the horrible things i have done so long ago ago!
Any way. Now we have a nice lineup of HSMAdvisor plugins for 3 latest MasterCam versions (X9, 2017 and 2018).

Huge "Farewell to MasterCAM x9" HSMAdvisor Hook update has been released.
The MC 2017 has been out for a few month now and because it has received quite mixed reviews from the machinist's community, i decided to release one more big update to our MCx9 hook before starting to fully work on adapting it for MC 2017.
This update v1.402 is a double update. The hook version has now caught up to the standalone AND we have some new features in standalone HSMAdvisor as well.
Here is a quick video showcasing most of the new features:
What is new and improved in this HSMAdvisor update
New Hardened D2 and M2 Steels
New 17-4 and 13-8 Stainless Steels in various conditions
Mew DB Contents Tree in Select Tool Dialog
Plunge Speed Lock
New Free GD&T Reference Tab
Updated Look and functionality of Scientific Calculator
Updated look of all Geometry Calculators.
Whats new and improved in HSMAdvisor Hook:
Improved Toolpath import and export
New Improved Select Tool/Cut Dialog with Side Contents Tree
Plunge RPM lock for toolpaths, that do not support Plunge RPM different from the main RPM
Ability to choose which data is read and written into the toolpath.
Full ToolDB Functionality including editing and saving tools is now free.

TiAdvisor (Tool Inventory Advisor) is a new feature under development within HSMAdvisor.
Unlike most cases when developers design a standalone product and then go through a laborious work of integrating it into existing software products, i decided to go the other way.
TiAdvisor will be developed as an integral part of HSMAdvisor and then, once complete, will be moved into a separate standalone product. This will make for seamless integration between our software products.
What TiAdvisor does
Keeps track of inventory levels.
Automatically add tools that are low in stock to Purchase Request List

Zero_Divide's FSWizard speed and feed calculator is the latest professional-grade mobile calculator to hit the i0S and Android stores.
For those who aren't happy with the accuracy of the speeds and feeds generated by their CAM software, FSWizard may be your solution. Like a Swiss army knife, it also includes a toolbox of essential charts and standalone calculators to make life easier for machinists.
Can not say it gave me an immediate influx of new sales (although every bit helps!). I guess most of the sales are driven through this web site and the buzz around HSMAdvisor Advanced Speed and Feed Calculator or the free FSWizard:Online calculator.
Note: Certain HSMAdvisor Licenses Include FSWizard PRO For Android for Free!! Check out our HSMAdvisor Web Storefor Details
Absolutely the best handheld CNC machinist's speed and feed calculator around. Calculate cutting conditions simply by choosing your work and tool material. No need to know any numbers. FSWizard will automatically use recommended cutting speed and chipload.
* Made by a machinist for machinists *
Improve productivity and optimize cutter life.
* Milling, Drilling, Tapping and Turning * Suggests optimum cutting depth and balances cutting parameters. * Supports Chip thinning and HSM machining. * Required Power estimation, Recommended Depth/Width of Cut for extra-long cutters. * Built in tap drill calculator to calculate not only cutting speed and feed , but also drill dia in accordance with desired thread engagement. * Drill and Tap charts for both imperial and metric systems. * Oblique Triangle Calculator * Fillet Calculator will find tangent points to a circle and two lines * Machinists Bolt Hole Circle and Line Calculators
It just does it all.
*Milling Tools: Solid EndMill, Indexed End Mill and FaceMill, Solid and Indexable drills *Drilling Tools: Jobber Drill, Hi-Performance Parabolic Drill, Spade Drill, Reamer *Turning Tools: Profiling and Grooving
Please try the Free FSWizard Lite first to confirm your device capability. Also huge thanks to those who go through the trouble and leave a review. Good reviews mean more sales and more incentive for me to further improve on this app.
FSWizard Lite and FSWizard PRO are iPhone/Android machinist calculators that do not require internet connection. PRO version has all the latest material lists and speed and feed technology.
Lite version has all the same features, but it only has tool steel, mild steel and aluminum in its material list. It still has all the tool types and tool materials found in online and standalone versions Both Lite and Pro versions have unlocked tapping data.
Lite versions have limited geometry calculators.
This app is intended not to replace but to complement my much more powerful standalone Windows application called HSMAdvisor.

As you know the long-awaited standalone version of FSWizard is being prepared for the release right now.
I am changing the name it is going to be marketed under.
Down the line The product is going to consist of many modules. And in order to give it a name that would encompass a wide variety of tools under one umbrella it has been decided to change the name of the solution to HSMAdvisor
A new website is being constructed right now around new product
It is going to be located at HSMAdvisor.com
But we are not forgetting where we came from.
FSWizard is becomming one module inside HSMAdvisor solution. So you will still see FSWiz name popping up here and there.
Also as i said earlyer and robably against better judgement i will keep HSMAdvisor(FSWizard):Online Calulator you have come to love and depend on free for everyone to use.
