Up to now people who wanted to use HSMAdvisor Speed and Feed Calculator on their Windows 8 machines had to install .Net Framework 2.0
I have decided from this point on to supply HSMAdvisor in both .Net versions.
As much as i would like to move completely to 4.0, too many people still run archaic versions of .NET framework.
I also fixed quite a few other things in this update.
So, if something looked wird before, it now should be fixed.
Edit: I have added a fix for metric taps in version 0.777

I would like to see a couple options updates for HSM Advisor. Â One is for surface finish. Â Often I've found a rapid face mill operation will work fine, but it leaves a finish rougher than shark skin. Â It would be nice to have a finish quality option. Â Especially for larger cuts. Â Another is for high speed only mills. Â I have two machines that run 8K-24K, and often it just won't give me an option in that range even though the math seems to support that it should. Â I know there is the setting to just use the range in the settings, but often doing that results in no output at all. Â FYI: Â I like the software and use it all the time. Â Often daily as I work my way through a project.

Okay, surface finish calculator will be the next feature. I will also look at the RPM thing. Bob, did you take the new interface survey yet? Everybody please do, I need feedback not only when something is not working, but also when something could be improved.
