After almost 2 months since the last release the next update has just been uploaded to the google Play Store.
Version 1.32 follows in the footsteps of the HSMAdvisor.
It now too has latest material definitions and an updated custom material drop-down list.
This list now expands to the size of the screen overriding default Samsung's scroller (that they stole from iPhone).
Biggest update yet is a new Tap and Form Tap tool types. You can now get not only cutting speed and feedrate for taps, but also calculate the best drill size for desired thread percentage.

Happy New Year !
First of all i would like to thank everybody for their continuing support and feedback - without you my work would not be this rewarding and fun. This holiday season sale has been a success and it is only reassuring me that i am moving in the right direction regarding development of this software.
Also 20 days after the very first release of FSWizard for iOS, sales for it and the Android versions have been going very strong. Which means i will be putting even more effort into improving the mobile versions as well.
New things in HSMAdvisor 0.701:
Cut and Form taps have been added.
Boring Bar has been added to the tool type list
Scallop calculator has been added for ballnose type endmills
Updated and fixed things:
Effective diameter for tapered endmills (like V-Bits) has been fixed
Deflection model for endmills has been improved
BallNose endmills are now considered slotting (floor milling) only when their WOC is set equal to the diameter of the tool. When WOC is not equal to the tip Dia, it is presumed the cutter is milling the wall rather than the floor
Some Tool Geometry fields have been moved to a new tab.
Again after this release i will shift my attention back to mobile versions of FSWizard

In this update i fixed some of the annoying things that were present in my app before.
Firstly i have totally changed the way app renders. Instead of using gradient backgrounds i am now using background images everywhere. This prevents glitches that some users reported before.
Then main menu now takes the whole screen. Small but descriptive icons were added to ease the navigation. Also scrolling problems for all of the devices were fixed there.
Phone Back button now exits the main menu or the virtual keyboard.
To shut down the app you have to tap Back key twice. This prevents acidental exits.
Phone Menu button opens main menu now. So the workflow is a lot like in the rest of android apps.
As a test i gave it to my wife to try out. She was pleased and managed to run through the whole app within a couple of minutes and never got lost. She especially liked menu icons, said they looked cool.
Email me or post on forums if you have any feedback.
Note: Certain HSMAdvisor Licenses Include FSWizard PRO For Android for Free!! Check out our HSMAdvisor Web Storefor Details

Please try the Free FSWizard Lite first to confirm your device capability. Also huge thanks to those who go through the trouble and leave a review. Good reviews mean more sales and more incentive for me to further improve on this app.
FSWizard Lite and FSWizard PRO are iPhone/Android machinist calculators that do not require internet connection. PRO version has all the latest material lists and speed and feed technology.
Lite version has all the same features, but it only has tool steel, mild steel and aluminum in its material list. It still has all the tool types and tool materials found in online and standalone versions Both Lite and Pro versions have unlocked tapping data.
Lite versions have limited geometry calculators.
This app is intended not to replace but to complement my much more powerful standalone Windows application called HSMAdvisor.
This release is a major step forward. We are starting to wander away from just Speeds and Feeds calculator part of the project.
Version 0.022 was a little buggy.
All reported and known bugs have been fixed.
New update version is 0.023
New features:
Threads page: You can now get thread cutting and tapping data for most popular threads in north America (UNC/UNF/ISO). The list of supported threads and features will grow according to necessity and user feedback.
Machine Profiles now have 2 new buttons: Clone and Import. Clone button simply copies selected machine definition with a different name. Import button is needed to be able to update/add machine definitions from default machine list. As users modify and customize their Machine List, thay are now able to add machine definitions hassle-free from default_machines.xml file that is supplied with every update.
Bugs Fixed:
Sticky Ball nose check box
Max HP improperly rounded
Additions:
Thanks to Greg Jackson andMatt Doeppers from Tormach i was able to create Horse Power/RPM curves for Tormach PCNC770 and PCNC1100 models (if you install over previous version, you can use import function to add those machines to the list)
I recently had to machine an aluminum mold cavity.
7 inches deep. With 5 degree wall draft and a 60 thou radius going all the way down. Roughing was not an issue, but for semi-finishing and finishing i had to manufacture these two extension holders.
Both tools have runout of less than 0.001
The one for bigger 3/8 tapered ballnose cutter is shrink fit- i mounted it using torch.
The smaller tool is a 3/32 tapered ballnose cutter from Harvey Tool. I could not bore to correct size, and had to ream right on. The tool is mounted with a set-screw from both sides to prevent deflection caused by unequal clamping pressure.

Anybody could use a pair (or more) of push clamps around their shop.
Those handy devices convert your machine' table into a huge vise. They are pretty mush irreplaceable when machining plates and other oversized parts that no ordinary vise will fit.
Several vendors offer their clamps. But many of them tend to be pricey. And those that are not, lack in quality.
And to be honest with you, it does not look like they are worth the amount of money their seller is trying to get from you.
In the mean time their design is simple enough to fabricate in any shop.
Here is a picture of two of four clamps i made for myself on manual mill withing 2 hours- sure beats buying mitee-bitees for 175$ a pop!!!
Made out of 5/8" thick D2 plate
1" long Shoulder in the front is tapped to 3/8-16 NC.
Slot for 1/2-13 bolt is sloped towards the back to prevent clamp from sliding under clamping pressure.
A thick 1/4" washer is used to protect T-slot from damage by the socket head.
