Tool Library/Mahine Definitions

Hey all,
New to the forums, but have to say HSM has saved me a couple of time already!

Wanted to ask if anyone has any suggestions as far as the 3rd party sites that may have other Tool Libraries and Machine Definition downloads to use with HSM?

Currently we are running with 2 HAAS ST-30SS, 1 HAAS ST-40, 1 HAAS ST-20, and a HAAS VF4-SS. Mainly use Sandvik tooling with the lathes, and for the most part, we use the cheapo Rapidkut carbide tooling for our Mill.

I think I successfully created a Haas ST-30 definition on HSM, but when it came to the power curve I am a little uneasy. So wanted to see if there were any sites i can go to for these.

Thanks!

Hi,

I am glad you are finding HSMAdvisor useful!
There is no 3rd party websites that host any HSMAdvisor-specific data.

If you need to download machines, check the "Download" button on Machine Definitions dialog. There is a large list available there.
There is also lots of HAAS profiles too. You can safely edit a profile with spindle comparable to yours and create your own machine.

Regarding tooling libraries: i believe it is easy enough to create your own.
I unfortunately do not have time to create all that by my self, so you could check out on other forums if somebody else already did it and is willing to share.

Best regards.
