Strange behavior

Just downloaded the latest version V0.101 because the last one expired and I am getting strange behavior. At first it seemed to work ok but I noticed I got two different Speed and Feed results for the same settings. Then I started getting error messages from .net framework
when launching the program (unhandled exception has occurred ). Rebood didn't clear the issue. Then I noticed the SFM for aluminum 6061 was off compared to the online tool 800 and something vs 500 something on line. Too late to do much more tonight.

I can not speak for the version 0.101 because when i start working on anything i can not go back to see what was wrong with it.
As far as i can see both the online and standalone versions give identical cutting speed of 650 SFM for aluminum with HSS endmill.
Speed override/material/coating will affect your resulting cutting speed.
Also if you hit RPM limit, it will output SFM relative to your actual RPM, that may be the cause as well.
At ful slotting SFM will be lower than at shoulder milling.
Regarding weird behaviour.
I have had some stability issues on some Windows versions.
I would recommend navigating to where HSMAdvisor is installed and deleting all the files from that folder.
Also you should install it where it can have full access to all of its .xml data files.
.Net errors you see are probably the result of my program not being able to access its files properly.
You should install it into the default (suggested by the installer) directory.
Meanwhile i will look what can cause the problem for you.
It would make my job much easier if you could tell me Windows version you have and send me a ScreenShot of any problems you see.
You can attach files to your posts right here on this forum.
By the way, next release is in a few days and your problems are likely to be fixed right there.
Thanks.
Bye.

Hello Craig,
I have just released the version 0.200

I have tested it on several platforms already and see no problems there.
It should have all the problems fixed.

If you encounter any though, please don't hesitate and let me know.

It must be something as easy as i described above: program not having enough permissions to access its own files.

Take care.
Bye.
