Do you need specific tool types or you would like to have their Speeds and Feeds applied to HSMAdvisor' already existing tool types?

I suppose the latter, since geometrically there's nothing all that different about them, other than the through spindle coolant endmills. So having their feeds & speeds applied to existing tool geometry and considering the effect of through tool coolant would be excellent.

Do you find S@F HSMAdvisor produces all that diffetent?

I mean since they are coolant-through you can just set 150% override and get the speeds they recommend anyway.

In your working experience, how good their cutting data matches the relal world results and how does HSMAdvisor's?

Why I am asking is because I thought about adding some other Manufacturers speeds and while testing on machine found that cutting speed was about 50% larger than was supposed to be. The cutters would fail within 5 minutes.....

The problem I've come across most so far with the Swiftcarb calculator is the Ramp angles only work with grunty spindles, great holders and rigid machines. But so far as feed rates and chip load, on a decent machine they have lapped it up. I suppose really its about trying to avoid entering data to define the tool.

This is why you should use the tool library.
It does not take much time to click Add Tool button and give it a name.

Next time you just find it in the list instead of entering all the info.

Data entry for every tool in sosomeone's catalog is very time consuming so I can not do it. Some people do it.

I am working on a way to let people easily share their libraries.
