Drilling surface speed

It appears to me that the default surface speed (450 f/min) and chip loads for drilling aluminum are appropriate only when using through spindle coolant. Is there a way to change the default to surface speed 250 which would be better for flood coolant and to appropriately adjust the chip load as well?
Maybe an option to select the type of coolant (TSC or flood).

Just a suggestion.

Hi,
It is not that fast assuming you are using a flood coolant.

I did drill with a 0.25" drill in aluminium at about 10000 RPM.

You can create a Tool in the database and then assign a custom Speed&Feed table to it. Then you can adjust Speed and Feed for each material for the tool family.

Yeah, I run drills all day long at 450sfm (thanks to the calculator) in 6061-T6 and have flood coolant (fairly high pressure) only. If it is a large drill, over an inch, I do back off as my machines only have 40-taper tooling and some are fairly lightweight. My max spindle is 8100rpm as well, so anything under about 1/4" is limited by the machine.

I run standard bright HSS jobber length drills that are Made in USA (Chicago-Latrobe, Precision Twist Drill, and Titan).
